Here’s an interview I’d been looking forward to for quite some time. Lin Shaye has been in some of my favorite films, even a number of flicks outside of the horror genre for which I am synonymous with. I had the opportunity to screen Room for Rent recently and was blown away by the sympathetic and equally disturbing character of Joyce who Shaye brought to life. Lin also spoke to us briefly about her role in the return of Penny Dreadful on Showtime. Announced yesterday on Deadline, she will be appearing alongside Nathan Lane, Amy Madigan, and Brent Spiner as a Nazi hunter in 1930s Los Angeles. Room for Rent is currently available on DVD and VOD. Synopsis: Lonely widow Joyce rents out a room in her house and becomes dangerously obsessed with one of her guests.
