In 1988 as an effort to promo the hell out of ‘Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master,’ MTV featured an hour’s worth of vaguely horror-themed music videos with bumpers. These breaks between the commercials and hairbands contained Robert Englund as Freddy, but without the voice modulation. Honestly, this made him even more likable.
My dad, knowing my love of this series, recorded the special on VHS. I originally uploaded the thing in its entirety years ago, only for several companies to flag it. In ’09 I recut the video to remove the music videos and commercials.
